To be eligible for Life Membership you must have 42 consecutive years of full membership.

Life Members and Life Teachers (non-active Teachers)

Continue to enjoy the benefits of full membership with no subscription payable, however this does not include delivery of Dance Gazette, Focus on Members (if applicable) and Focus on Exams.

Life Members will need to pay a subscription fee of R370 to continue to receive RAD publications.

Life Registered Teachers (active Teachers)

From 2015, all new eligible Life Registered Teachers are required to pay a registration fee in order to maintain their RAD Registered teacher status. This registration fee will include delivery of RAD printed publications.

All teachers registered with the RAD including Life Registered Teachers who are actively teaching and/or entering students into RAD examinations are required to complete the minimum CPD requirement of 20 hours. We do not and will not discriminate, positively or otherwise on the grounds of age.

Life Registered Teachers who are no longer teaching the RAD Syllabus or entering candidates for RAD examinations, can change Life Membership category to become a Life Teacher and will not be required to complete any CPD. Please contact the RAD office in Johannesburg or email: admin@rad.org.za as soon as possible and we will gladly amend your records to reflect this.
